The International Youth Coalition on Neglected Tropical Diseases (IYCNTD) aims to establish a platform for youth to learn about neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), their prevalence, and the need for international action to combat them in the world's most impoverished nations. The organization will encourage youth to conduct dialogue on the NTDs, sharing ideas of what policies should be developed and actions taken by governments, intergovernmental organizations, civil society, and the private sector. IYCNTD will enable youth to network and find opportunities to volunteer through organizations that have established initiatives to combat the NTDs on a local, national, or international level. IYCNTD will also enable undergraduates and graduate and professional students to share their research on the NTDs to encourage others to do so as well.

Youth will be able to learn about the neglected tropical diseases, share ideas on what actions should be taken to combat them, and will be able to find opportunities to get involved in reducing the prevalence of NTDs. Individuals will be able to find opportunities to form student groups at their schools and universities to fundraise and support the efforts of organizations that aim to combat the NTDs. Students will be able to share their research on the website, and they will be able to network and find opportunities to directly volunteer through organizations around the world to reduce poverty and the prevalence of NTDs.
