What is APSAID? APSAID is a non-profit, non-political and secular association, which aspires to dedicate itself to inspire curiosity, participation, awareness and empowerment of students and youth through education and action around issues on development, human rights, peace and multiculturalism

The Association shall endeavor to do this by;
1. Helping the University in creating an atmosphere of academic serenity conducive not only to disciplined and diligent study but also to mutual respect, openness, understanding, and friendship, without discrimination of any kind; and above all, the arduous but most spiritually rewarding pursuit of wisdom, the synthesis of love of knowledge, faith and reason, culture and life;
2. Developing individuals to become professionally competent, creative and enterprising, zealous for the common good, and capable of making free, morally upright choices, and who can thus serve as positive agents of change in society;
3. Fostering unity, harmony and cooperation among the students and be responsive to the needs of the community that sustain it (APU and the local community).
4. Reaching out especially to those in most need of help and do everything it can do to uplift the social, cultural, and material level of the society.
5. Serving as a link/network of APU students to the international community and provide opportunities and information's necessary for their growth.
6. Facilitating and coordinating training activities on issues related to International Development
7. Developing data bank and resource center for students on Scholarship, internships, employment opportunities and important events happening in the world.
8. Raising awareness on issues relevant to the study on International Development and Understanding.
9. Networking with other student and youth organization, Non- Government Organizations and People’s Organization for possible project and program collaboration
10. Creating an effective approach in teaching human rights, peace and cultural diversity such as visual arts, theatre and dances, and music to promote the rich cultural background of APU students
