There are Six (6) pillars of IFMSA.

There are Six (6) pillars of IFMSA.
Standing Committee on Public Health: It creates awareness among general public esp the University level students about various public health issues such as malaria, tuberculosis, tobacco, mental health, bird flu, dengue, organ donation ethics and laws etc.
Standing Committee on Medical Education: It specifically targets the medical students from all over the country and guides them about their career options, research and electives, and trains them in various skills such as Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Communication Skills, medical ethics etc.
Standing Committee on Reproductive Health & Aids: To deal with awareness issues among public, relating to maternal and child health, sexually transmitted diseases, exposure to blood borne pathogens etc.
Standing Committee on Professional Exchange: to offer medical students elective opportunities locally and abroad.
Standing Committee on Research Exchange: to provide opportunities of research with students from other medical schools abroad.
Standing Committee on Human Rights and Peace: To raise our voices against violence, terrorism and to educate our youth about the harm associated with it.
