Pariwartan believes in a community-centric approach to maximize the actions for an eco-friendly and equitable development of the Himalayan areas. “Pariwartan” is a Hindi word that means- Transformation, and it expresses the organization’s quest of bringing a positive transformation in the mindsets of the people for making this world a better place for all. Established in the year 2005 at Shimla, the organization has undertaken several environmental and developmental activities and has sincerely followed the indicators of sustainable development in its interventions. Having hands-on experience over some innovative initiatives in the area, the organization is committed to devote its efforts for the protection of environment and the empowerment of marginalized groups.

MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION:

3. To enable and mainstream the youth
4. To mitigate the hazards of disasters and provide relief services

DOER Voluntary Services Program

It is proven that skilled and unskilled young volunteers possess huge potential to contribute effectively towards the socio-economic development of the poor communities and conservation of nature. Keeping this in view, PARIWARTAN has developed a multi-tier Voluntary Services Program (christened as “DOER”) which ensures the provision of value-driven, contentment-oriented voluntary assignments to young individuals and youth-centric organizations willing to contribute voluntarily towards the welfare of the marginalized communities and fragile eco-systems of the Himalayas.
