The vision of the Lenawee County Anti-Bullying Task Force is currently being rewritten, however the group strives to work with a cross-section of local residents to provide resources and leadership in area schools and communities on the topic of bully prevention.

• Regularly bringing together a group of school and community representatives to coordinate and collate what is going on in both schools and communities in the area of bully prevention programming.

• Developing a manner by which to share this information with and among school districts and local communities.
• Helping to make the county aware of the importance of bully prevention strategies.
• Gathering statistics from schools and communities about the importance of school and community safety for the “bottom line”
• Promoting several Lenawee ISD trainings designed for community educators and open to anyone interested.
• Advising the Lenawee ISD on future training needs.
• Developing ways to implement programming or information sharing during the 07-08 school year.

Lenawee County Anti-Bullying Task Force is connected to Communities In Schools of Lenawee which conducts a Youth Summit. At past summits, school safety concerns have been discussed. As a result of the concerns expressed by students, and later the law enforcement professionals, a county-wide Anti-Bullying Task Force was formed.
The task force is currently working with youth, local educators, and community mental health to develop a web site geared toward youth wellness and health resources.
