The ACLU of West Virginia believes one of the best ways to protect the Bill of Rights is to make sure unconstitutional bills never become law and to insure the passage of bills that advance liberty.
To do that we maintain a full-time presence at the West Virginia legislature and work closely with the ACLU national office, to make sure that we also have the ability to oppose legislation in Congress limiting personal liberty.
The strength of our influence comes courtesy of our extensive grassroots network — represented by 4 active regional chapters and 1 campus chapter around the state. This ever growing network of volunteers stand ready to visit, call, write or email elected officials.
