Girls Empowerment strives to create a world where empowered girls and young women are free to exercise their rights and live peacefully in a just, humane and equitable society.
Our mission is to promote and advocate for social and emotional well being of vulnerable and marginalized adolescent girls, teen mothers and young women and to influence positive change in the areas of gender, human rights, HIV/AIDS and education. We believe that encouraging the leadership of women and the development of their status benefits the entire community. We strengthen the efforts of girls’ clubs as they teach girls and young women to become socially, economically and politically empowered and self-reliant enabling them to participate fully in their communities and political life.
