 Missie/Visie
The Gender Action Project (GAP) is a Rhodes University society which seeks to tackle issues related to sex, gender, sex- and gender-based violence, and to do advocacy work related to these issues. The primary aim is to encourage dialogue and debate in order to build solidarity on these issues.

On the executive committee of a local NGO, the Makana Rape Survivors' Support Group.

GAP's members are predominantly University students enrolled at Rhodes University - here university students are encouraged to engage in dialogue with gender-based issues, and to participate in advocacy work around related issues. GAP also works with local schools in Grahamstown, hosting forums and 'activism through art' workshops - providing oppurtunities for the youth to engage in dialogue around gender-based issues.
