350.org spreads the most important number on the planet by building a global grassroots climate movement united by a common call to action. Everyone on the planet, from the smallest village to the largest nation, needs to know what 350 means. And the movement to spread that number needs to be beautiful, creative, and unstoppable. With your help, we will organize actions around the world to spread the number 350 and highlight equitable solutions to the climate crisis.
Global warming threatens everyone, especially the poorest and most vulnerable among us. The most recent science tells us that unless we can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million (ppm), we will cause huge and irreversible damage to the earth and its people. But solutions exist. If we join together as a global community and aim for 350, we can stop the climate crisis and create a more just society for all.
Reaching 350 ppm will require unprecedented international cooperation. The United Nations is negotiating a treaty that could put the world on a course to solve the climate crisis, but the current plans for the treaty are much too weak to get us back to safety. 350.org will bring millions of new voices to the table, united by our common call to action. Together, we will redefine the possible and rally the world behind the solutions that science and justice demand.
Join us today.

Project 350 is an international grassroots campaign that aims to mobilize a global climate movement united by a common call to action. 350 represents the parts per million carbon dioxide concentration that leading scientists, including Dr. James Hansen, Director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, have now set as an upper threshold for a safe climate. The problem is that international climate negotiations are now focused on targets that are scientifically inaccurate and dangerously inadequate.
Our mission is to move the goalpost, to make sure that the world is aiming for a target that will actually avert dangerous climate change. We are a small, youth-led team from around the world, and we need your help. In the next two years we want to embed the number 350 deeply in public consciousness—make it ubiquitous across societies, languages, and ideologies. We will rely on partners and individuals around the globe who can help share this number. Project 350 is not a new organization, but a dynamic, short-term campaign.. We believe that once 350 is widely known, it will provide an important benchmark for people worldwide who seek an equitable solution to the climate crisis. As a benchmark, 350 can help bring about a political breakthrough in international climate change negotiations and help catalyze the global transformation that the climate crisis demands.

's done the least to stop it. Whoever takes office as U.S. President next year has a lot of work to do to bring the U.S. back to the table, and commit the country to taking a strong leadership position on confronting global warming. In December, leaders from all around the world will gather in Poznan, Poland to discuss the next international climate treaty. We want you, no matter where you live on this planet, to play a part in ensuring that the candidates attend the meeting and play their part in getting the U.S. to be a leader on global warming. Send your invitation today.
