To achieve Peace in cities through the use of URBAN PEDAGOGY, promoting DEMOCRATIC AWARENESS, fostering initiatives towards the attainment of a CULTURE OF PEACE, especially among children and young people.

Our mission:
To promote citizens participation in order to achieve a true Culture of Peace through Education for Democracy and Education for Peace in urban spaces. We involve children and youth in the construction of more peaceful cities; Educating Cities considers children and young people as the main actors of city life and community building
Objectives:
**To promote Education for Peace and Human Rights, especially in the sphere of cities and in non-formal education, to foster reflection about the causes of the absence of Peace in cities.
** Work permanently for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence in cities, with specific attention on the use of public space as a forum for peace building.
** Work cooperatively with local governments, NGOs, national and international governmental organizations as well as with other actors of civil society.
