Since 2005, we have been based in The Canadian Rockies running events to raise awareness and funds for issues associated with HIV/AIDS in both Canada and Africa.
Though we have been running numerous events the past couple of years, including AIDS Climbing Week, Artists Against AIDS, Skate for AIDS, and World AIDS Day Dinners, we have chosen to focus on one ongoing event for this upcoming summer, Servers Against AIDS Day.
The idea is quite simple: servers donate their tips, or a percentage of their tips, to the cause of HIV/AIDS on one day this summer (2008). At least 50% of the donations go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation, and the remaining donations will be given to regional AIDS services.
