To promote writing and artistry freedom and enhance independent and ethical writing sand artistry for the benefit of society.
To identify and promote literature and art in Kadoma and beyond.
To bring together writers and artists so that they can discuss literary ideas and concerns, fostering linkages and networking on a local, national and global basis.
To undertake and facilitate exchange programmes for writers and artists, locally, nationally and internationally.
To facilitate wide readership of members' works and productions through readership in Newspapers, Magazines, Anthologies and the Internet.
To promote and improve the works of establishing writers and artists e.g. the invitation of literary experts.
To promote entrepreneurship in the writing and arts industry by training writers and artists; and facilitating literary and arts projects.
To promote women writing, skills, readership of their works, positive images and their appreciation of literature and the arts.
To gather and preserve the history of Kadoma including promoting its interests and contribute to economic, employment and cultural development.
Provide an information dissemination service about Kadoma, initiate and establish a cultural center to organize exhibitions, concerts, writers' evenings/film shows, debates on literary, cultural, social, economical and topical issues.
To engage into research on literary, arts, cultural and topical issues and to record, produce and disseminate such information through booklets, pamphlets, folders, brochures, posters, documentaries and articles.
To promote literary and artistic talent among young children and the youth.
To promote gender equality and prevent the marginalization of women in their communities.
To fight censorship of all forms in the writing and arts industry.
To stand firmly against the abuse of human rights.
Promote the appreciation and fight against HIV/AIDS in the community through literacy projects.
To organize and develop writers on the basis of the love for peace, democracy, progress, unity and the elimination of racism and regionalism.
To provide literacy links with ZIWU - Zimbabwe Writers Union, ZANA - Zimbabwe Academic and Non Fiction Authors Association, ZALWA - Zimbabwe African Languages Authors Association and other national regional and international artists centred institutions.
