FUNCTIONS
Coordinating and acting as clearing house for activities of member organizations.
Convene and /or sponsor conferences, workshops, seminars and other gathering local and International for the purpose of realizing the aims and objectives of the Organisation. To improve and support youth access to education, recruitment, selection and training ,health services, tourism and other social services plus promote equality in order to mitigate the impact of the HIV/Aids/malaria and TB pandemics, through support interventions ,poverty reduction, child abuse prevention ,care and support activities, psychological support orphans and vulnerable children and duty bearers.
Promote entrepreneurship among the youth for self-employment; also provide opportunities for youth employment, encourage establishment of youth agro-based cooperatives and programmes
Publish literature and disseminate information on national development policies relevant to members and/or programmes relating to Youth Empowerment
Promote the establishment of Youth organisations/Clubs and integrating them in communities and all Primary /Secondary Schools and institutions of higher learning

PROGRAMMES
(i) Youth Enterprise Support Network
The Programme area is the “skeleton” of YES operations. It aims to address the problems youth- unemployment. Also aims at promoting job creation through youth entrepreneurship or youth owned/managed enterprise and businesses + cooperatives.
(ii) Youth Entrepreneurship Capacity Building and Networking
This is the “backbone” of the youth network as a whole. It’s aim is establish and build Youth Enterprise Management Leadership(YEML).Member organisations and “needy” people will be trained through workshops ,seminars ,etc

(iii) Youth Entrepreneurship Communication and Advocacy
Its objectives are to promote awareness and sensitization on “burning” youth issues, publication, media and documentation of research and education materials.
(iv) Youth Multi-Purpose Co-operatives
This is the “lifeblood” of the youth network. Its objective is to assist youth to purchase, store, transport, and market all the products (NTE’s) of young entrepreneurs. The “multiplier effort” creates youth employment.
TARGET GROUPS
Unemployed youths, poor female headed families and young entrepreneurs in the communities especially in the rural + peril –areas provided they are faith-based.
