1.-Fomentar la investigación en el ámbito social, cultural, ambiental y económico en la comunidad de Fondo Grande y zonas aledañas.2.-Ofrecer capacitaciones acerca de temas relacionados con la agricultura, el ambiente, la cultura y el desarrollo rural, considerando los intereses colectivos de los comunitarios y la decisión grupal dentro de la organización. 3.-Coordinar, junto a las organizaciones locales, proyectos agropecuarios, sociales, ecológicos y empresariales, dirigidos hacia el desarrollo sostenible comunitario. 4.-Realizar actividades de integración comunitaria para promover la cultura e identidad local.

A community meeting on December 6th, 2007 by  Cristino Alberto Gómez Luciano
With the purpose to discuss about the new challenges around the culmination of the hydroelectric project of the community, a meeting was realized in Fondo Grande in December 4th, 2007.

people attended to the meeting in which the main topics were: the management of the electric energy in the community, the projects to be implemented after the inauguration of the hydroelectric project, and the need of a change in the current activities and costumes of the inhabitants in seek of a sustainable development and a better life quality. The main lecture was given by the agronomist Cristino Alberto Gómez, who is a native professional and who also leads the project of founding Fondo Grande Ahead. Gómez is working with the community in the last steps of establishing the hydroelectric project, which is worked by the inhabitants of Fondo Grande and financed by the PPS. The project was started in 2001 and it is expected to conclude at the beginning of next year.
