Slender but efficient state providing services fast, properly and smoothly, according to the demands of its citizens, using modern information tools.

eStat project will not only bring better quality of public administration services to the ordinary citizens by means of making the set up of their internal processes easier, simplifying the communication with public administration by means of remote access, by limiting inappropriate interventions of the state into the business environment, but it will also ensure the most important factor for future economic growth of the country. In no case the eStat program resolves all issues related to public administration bodies. This is simply impossible in view of the project scope, but it surely represents a major step forward in all key areas addressed.

The “efficient state” project is a unique opportunity to break this almost one hundred years old “tradition”. Has there ever been a better time for a change than today?

Current governments must face ever growing and unprecedented challenges. Ageing population puts extreme pressure on government services while the number of working individuals and taxpayers supporting elders is decreasing. At the same time the companies in the private sector teach the citizens of any age to expect more and more from the government services despite of the fact that the primary goal of such companies is to serve their customers. Citizens request better value for their money from the government. They request better choice, better quality of services and more individualised approach. They also request better transparency and liability with respect to how their tax contributions are spent. We should also include the worldwide challenges such as growing competition from abroad or permanent terrorist threats. It is quite obvious that the governments all around the world have both hands full of work.
