Global Links Initiative takes action to connect,empower and inform people around the world who are improving the lives of their communities. We believe genuine caring people are happy to share experiences and success stories in the hope of learning from each other on how to make this world a better place, particularly for the disadvantaged in the world. We also believe we can inspire and encourage each other to be more successful in helping others help themselves.

We currently link nearly 800 local community activists from more than 50 countries through our website. It costs nothing, other than internet time, to join and go to www.glinet.org and find the word "register" . We require you to write something about what is important to you and if you have a website we will give you an immediate link to it. We love inspiring stories and "how we do it articles" (Note-not best practice as that varies according to need and circumstances) as well as your news. We want to give publicity to the work and ideas of caring people globally and at the same time create an ability for us all to learn from each other, all in entirely voluntary way. We are a very small team using technology to link people globally and so far we have had amazing success in China, India and Africa in our short life. We will arrange exchange visits to each other's projects if funds can be found to enable us to do this.
We very much approve of Taking It Global. We are more specialised and cover a wider range of age groups but are proud of the quality of young people we are attracting who want to make this world we live in a better place for all.

I , Robin Rowland, co-founded Global Links Initiative with Fan Li a 29 year old Chinese lady determined to help her own country and others in Asia have harmonious societies. We have attracted many young people to the idea of sharing the experiences of others, young and old, so that they themselves can decide what is right for their communities and countries and those they care about. We are true enablers and facilitators for the generations who have the energy, brains ,humanity and passion to make the differences needed to create the harmonious societies we now need and deserve globally.
