Our vision is to lay the foundations for a better and safer future in the island of Cyprus through a number of bi-communal activities, which aim to bring the Youth of the two communities in Cyprus, the Greek-Cypriots and the Turkish-Cypriots closer together, to promote the principles of tolerance, mutual respect and common understanding.

We envision enhancing the prospect of living in a place, which is not separated into two different parts, which has no limitations of any kind.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF Y2P

The creation of bridges of communication primarily between the two communities in Cyprus.
The promotion of long-lasting friendships between the young generations of the Turkish-Cypriot and Greek-Cypriot communities. As one of us stated:
“Peoples’ opinions change like the seasons and rarely is trust maintained... a mere friendship was and is the most important step in developing such a trust and one that will last a lifetime…” (Lena Anastasiades)

The development of the feeling of respect for our fellow men, as well as the development of tolerance and understanding.
The introduction of dialogue and positive interaction between the Youth of the two communities.
The elimination of meaningless prejudices, which arise from the past and perpetuate to the present.
The expansion of the co-operation between the Young people of the two communities in Cyprus.
The involvement of Young People in concrete dialogue with the government, politicians, local and international diplomats which leads to the formation of a society of people capable to get involved in public affairs effectively.
