We would like to introduce you to a website called “NGOs in Golden Land of Myanmar”. This is a one-stop resource website for development workers and organizations operating within Myanmar. The website is conceptualized, developed, and maintained by former and current NGO workers from Myanmar. Hundreds of local NGOs and a number of international organizations are working in Myanmar for many years, however, their current activities for good cause are not readily available. Besides, developing and maintaining a website is a great undertaking for many organizations. Therefore, we would like to serve as a bridge between those organizations from Myanmar and the rest of the world using the increasingly popular medium of communication – the Internet.
Organizations may differ in their visions and missions, however, the ultimate aim of reducing human suffering is identical. Thus, we see no reasons why these organizations cannot work synergistic-ally to help people in need of their services.
