The Academic Forum for Foreign Affairs is an independent, non-political and Non-Profit Organization run by students interested in Foreign Affairs as well as a branch of the United Nations Association of Austria.
In a time, where solutions to political and economical as well as social and ecological problems can no longer be solved in a national frame, a time where integration and globalization are the leading parameters, a dynamic and world open mind is required by the youth to understand international questions.

With public events like lecutres, panel discussions, seminars and workshops current international topics are pointed out with guest speakers from politics, economy and diplomacy.
Visits of embassies and other institutions offer the possibility to learn more about the single areas.

With public events like lecutres, panel discussions, seminars and workshops current international topics are pointed out with guest speakers from politics, economy and diplomacy.
Visits of embassies and other institutions offer the possibility to learn more about the single areas.
International study trips and excursions enable interested students to take a corresponding view.
As United Nations Youth and Student Association, the AFA finds itself as a link between Universities and the United Nations.
The annual VIMUN - Vienna International Model United Nations, a simulation conference of the work in the different single organizations of the United Nations, enables the contact to internationally interested people of all over the world in order to become acquainted with the function of the United Nations.
The independent magazine GLOBAL VIEW, regularly issued by the AFA, understands itself as information and discussion forum to foreign and world political topcis for students and the establishment of foreign policy.
