The Vienna International Community on Sustainable Development (VICOSD) was founded to address the importance of sustainable development for society in the 21st century.
In times when sustainable development has become a serious issue that is widely being discussed, projects should be well thought-out in order to support the spreading of the idea of sustainable development and its positive consequences for humanity. The World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) in Johannesburg provides a global starting point for the international community to draw up feasible concepts in order to promote the idea of sustainable development.

The Vienna International Community on
Sustainable Development is the
organization that raises awareness and
conducts campaigns about top international
issues in respect of sustainable development.
For that VICOSD is co-operating with a number
of institutions on the national, regional and
international level.
VICOSD tries to help solving problems ranging from topics of human rights abuse to environmental degradation to organized crime through public events, information materials
and lobbying on all levels.
Currently VICOSD is contacting two projects/campaigns:
1. Anti-Cyber Crime Campaign
2. Development of a Regional Network "Youth and Drugs" for the UNODC
