Building young people and strengthening youth organizations involved in development activities and social change in Nigeria and Africa.

Youngstars Foundation International (YFI) strengthens and trains youth organizations and young people to participation in development programs. Beginning from a weekly youth club in a barbering shop in 1995 to the present, YFI continues to reach-out to rural and urban youths in Nigeria with the message self-actualization, participation and nation building. From high school students to out-of-school youths, and from leaders of youth organizations to our volunteers and associates, cutting across tribes, religion and nationalities; the feedback remains that YFI re-invents the power of youth.

Improving the competencies of youth organizations involved in development programs.
Activities:

- Organize training for youth led organizations and young people.

- Design and produce youth friendly resources for youth organizations to use.

- Mentor newly formed youth organizations and young people involved in social development.

- Facilitate youth exchange programs / internships.


Fostering relations between youth organizations and development partners at different levels.

Activities:

- Organize Open Day(s) for youth organizations and development partners to interact and explore collaborations.

- Facilitate training for youth organizations on successful grant seeking and good grantee-granter relationship.

- Monitoring and evaluation of youth led / focused development programs for the benefit of all stakeholders.


Strengthening youth representation on issues that affects youth development at different levels.
Activities:

- Train young people on advocacy, diplomacy, lobbying, critical thinking, and dialogue and communication skills for effective youth representation.

- Mobilize young people to make their voice heard on issues that affects them.

- Support youth owned platforms that aid proper representation and participation in national life.

- Maintain a database of youth led organizations in Nigeria.
