Apart from capacity building of the NGOs/MFIs and other types of organistions, AIAMED is also involved in institutional strengthening of the sector as a whole. To realise its mission, AIAMED believes in networking, joint action, information sharing, training, research and documentation of best practices. AIAMED is a forum of Resource organisations, implementing organisations and Donors. The services that AIAMED offers include:-
1. Capacity Building
2. Facilitate Institutional Development
3. Facilitate MIS and Business Planning
4. Assist in Scaling-up and expansion of operations
5. National and International visibility to Grassroot orgnisations
6. Help on Legal and Taxation
7. Help in Loan, Savings and Insurance product development

AIAMED had beginnings in the South Asia Network (SAN) in 1994.
We are part of a well know international Micro finance network, Opportunity International, which has ben working more 27 countries.
AIAMED is a member of Sa-Dhan, A MF network based in New Delhi, India
