The Humanist Movement is a Volunteer based organisation, controlled and financed by volunteers. The movement began in the late 60's around the thought of Mario Rodriduez Cobos(known as SILO), a writer and thinker from Argentina. The Humanist Movement is present in all 5 continents, 110 countres and in more than 25 African Countries, Cameroon, included.

We have as vision to:
1-To place the human being as the central value and concern.
2-Affirm the equality of all human beings.
3-Recognises and values cultural and personal diversity.
4-Stresses the development of the new knowledge beyond what is accepted.
5-support freedom of thought and belief.
6- Rejects Violence and descrimination from our surroundings.

The Humanist Movement seeks your active participation in activities and projects. Humanists believe that every person has value and can contribute something important for the construction of a truely human society. Thus, every person is important,independent of social status, age,gender,religion.....etc.

THERE IS NO DEVELOPEMENT IF IT IS NOT FROM ALL AND FOR ALL

A country is poor not because it lacks resources, nor because it is exploited, nor because of the corrupt politicians. It is true that politiciens are corrupt, but they are there beacuse people vote for them. And they vote them because they think that the politicians are more capable than the people themselves.

-Gives a positive direction to the tremendous global changes that are fast approaching, so that we make things develop towards truely human society.

-Change the existing primitive social system by ensuring expression of the "Voicesless". This change is only possible through a non violent transformation iof the present power stuctures(Legal, Economical, Polictical, etc)
-Facilitate participation and improve communication between each other at the level of neighbourhood,working place,Educational and immediate enviroment.
-Dissemilate information through the production of books,audio visual materials,neighbourhood news papers,work manuals,pamphlets and literary artistic productions, lectures and serminars.
- Achieve an over role personal and social change by developing both aspects at the same time.
-Create awareness on dehumanising incedents like degredation of our inveroment,beaurocratic violence unfair evictions,and land lord harasment and denounce such acts.
