ORGANIZATION PROFILE
Stay Alive Nigeria Organization (SANO) is a youth led, youth focused, non-for-profit community based initiative founded in 2007 and based in Abraka: Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. SAN programme are centered on improving the health and Education status as well as empowering young people with decision making skills in grassroots communities. Our programme generates interventions to youth development and empowerment through advocacy, sensitization, trainings, mobilization and documentation. In collaboration with youth networks, community groups, faith based organization and other NGO, Stay Alive act as a means to elicitate participation of young people in community development.
In SANO we believe in the ability of young people to cause changes in the society thus we see it as ”OUR” responsibility to affect their decision making skills positively.
OBJECTIVES
To work innovatively towards reducing the spread of STIs, HIV/AIDs among youth population in communities.
To foster creative communities through potential maximization and skill development.
To empower youths with the right knowledge on health and education through monitoring programmes, and skill development.
To improve the sexual reproductive health status and educational responses through community mobilization.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Advocacies, conduct research, disseminate information and result on youth issues, organize symposium, seminar and workshop and provide monitoring among others
