Tanzania Debate Association(TDA) is Non Governmental Organization Located in Dar es salaam,Tanzania.The goals and objectives of TDA are exclusively charitable and educational and include, but are not limited to, fostering an open society by supporting activities that promote the free exchange of ideas, tolerance, critical thinking and international cooperation.


Also the second main goals of TDA is promote youth development,so as TDA have to mobilize Government and Non – Government organizations, International organizations, Media organs, cooperative sectors and community at large to promote increased understanding of the youth’s issues by initiating youth self-employment programs by involving them in small and large production,offering technical support to youth development projects,establishiing a sustainable plans aiming at preparing and involving young men and women in National Development issues,uniting all youths in the nation with the aim of developing their talents,encouraging a genuine youth participation and give them a chance of utilizing their available resources and experience to solve their social and economic problems,advicing Government in issues related to the rights and responsible of young men and women welfare and establishing means which shall enable young men and women be access to education , health ,nutrition, water, working capital and premises ,markets, well planned and designed proposals.

Mission
The mission of TDA is to offer students ,teachers and youth the opportunity to examine issues affecting their lives and their communities; to create broad and inclusive debate clubs that encourage participation by all segments of the population, including ethnic minorities; and to establish independent local debate associations to promote, organize and sustain debate activities in each regional of Tanzania. Debate is a powerful means of encouraging critical thinking, personal expression and tolerance for the opinions of others. TDA offers students teachers and youth the opportunity to examine issues affecting their lives and their communities. Participants come to recognize that free and open discussion is essential to the establishment and preservation of open and democratic societies.Also TDA have focus on youth development by involving in activities that have impact on youth.
