AARDO, formed in 1962, is an autonomous inter-governmental, organisation comprising twenty seven members both from Africa and Asia. AARDO is devoted to develop understanding among members for better appreciation of each others' problems and to explore,collectively, opportunities for coordination of efforts for welfare and eradication of thurst, hunger, illiteracy, disease and poverty amongst rural people. The organisation of international workshops, seminars and training programmes, study mission on agricultural cooperatives, financing of development projects, dissemination of information, technical assistance programmes, etc., are some of the important activities of AARDO.
