The functional use of the handicraft has appeared with existence of to meet needs. It has changed and developed itself during the ages. It has changes according to the general artistic appreciation and the sense of the society and achieved a traditional character. The traditional Turkish handicraft, originally from the Central Asia, which has been influenced by different cultures and civilizations composed cultural structure having wide range of characteristics.
The traditional Turkish handicraft has different categories like as: textile industry, writing, glazed tile, pottery production, music instrument, metal working, copperworking, basketry, xlography, making portersfromer etc.
We organize 1st International Traces from Traditional Konya handicrafts and Mevlana Textile conception with the collabration of Konya Metropolitan Municipality and Selçuk University Centre of Seljuk Researches.Our aim is to present the work of scholars within different traditional arts in Konya, the capital city of the Seljuk.

1-Dimensions of the works are not limited. The Works must fit into exhibition panels.

4-The participants have to send application form and photos of Works with jpeg format to deadlined by 30.06.2008. (with CV, information about artist, and Mug shot)
5-The Works which will be accepted by the Exhibition Counsultation Comitee, will be informed by e-mail (until 15 11 2008).
6-Circumstances commodation fee of participants for 1 days (12th June 2008) will be covered by Exhibition Organisation Comitee. In addition to this, at the date 12.10.2008 there will be 2 cocktails named “official opening cocktail” and “evening cocktail”. The participants have to pay travelling expences by themselves.
7-Works which are accepted for the exhibition will be sent to “Mr.Ahmet Aytaç, Selçuk Üniversitesi, Selçuklu Araştırma Merkezi, Mevlana Müzesi Arkası Gülbahçe Sok. No. 5, Konya – Türkiye” deadlined by 01.10.2008.
8-End of the exhibition, the Works will be sent cash on delivery.

SERGİYE KATILIM ŞARTLARI
1.Ebatlarda sınırlama yoktur (Ancak sergi panolarına asılabilecek normal ölçülerde olmalıdır).
2.Eserler mutlaka Konya el dokumalarından ya da yada Mevlânâ’dan izler taşımalıdır.
3.Her Sanatçı en fazla 3 eserle katılabilir.

4.Katılmak isteyenler 30 Haziran 2008 tarihine kadar müracaat formunu ve eserlerin jpeg fotograflarını (cd. ortamında eser hakkında bilgilerinde yer aldığı word sayfası ile kısa bir özgeçmiş ve sanatçının vesikalık fotografı ile beraber göndermelidirler)
5.Sergi Danışma Kurulu tarafından uygun görülen eserler mail yoluyla 15 Temmuz 2008 tarihine kadar bildirilecektir.
6.Sergiye bizzat katılmak isteyen sanatçıların 12 Ekim 2008 akşamı için 1 gecelik konaklamaları düzenleme kurulu tarafından karşılanacaktır. Ayrıca 12 Ekim 2008 tarihinde “Sergi Açılış” ve “Akşam” kokteyli olmak üzere iki kokteyl verilecektir. Sergiye bizzat katılacak olan sanatçıların yol giderleri kendilerine aittir.
7.Sergilenmeye değer bulunan eserler 01 Ekim 2008 tarihine kadar ilgili adrese gönderilecektir (Ahmet AYTAÇ, Selçuk Üniversitesi Selçuklu Araştırmaları Merkezi, Mevlânâ Müzesi Arkası, Gülbahçe sk. No:5 KONYA).
8.Sergi sonunda eserler, ödemeli olarak kargo ile iade edilecektir.
