I have always been a firm believer in this entity called Nigeria. My heart bursts with pride whenever I see the green-white-green swaying in the wind. I’m intensely proud to be a Nigerian
Nigeria to me is about the most diverse nation on earth today; diverse in terms of culture, tribe language, ethnic groups, creed and religion and even climate. With over 350 different ethnic groups and vegetation ranging from the extremely dry and barren deserts of the North to lush, evergreen mangrove swamps of the Niger Delta, this assertion cannot be truer. This diversity is a kind of mixed blessing for Nigeria. While it has enriched the nation through the contribution of the various regions in terms of natural and human resources, the sectarian, regional and religious differences, needless to say, has often made the country difficult to govern.
