Vision: Informed Youth Participation in Rights-Based Discourse for Development.
Mission: Youth Rights Forum International is a youth-focussed and largely youth-led non profit initiative founded in August 2005 to facilitate human rights-based capacity building and strategic networking towards enabling youths to understand the link between human rights and the day-to-day challenges in the society, to take centre stage as key actors in nurturing a values system in the society which respects human rights and dignity of all people , to engage other actors in advancing the best interests of youths in the development agenda, and to harness and facilitate equitable access by youths to resources and opportunities for personal, communal, and global development.

Youth Rights Forum seeks to ensure greater participation of youths in shaping the national human rights agenda.
First we support the youths in establishing grass-root forums where they can learn, defend and demand their rights. One approach is by facilitating a rights-based empowerment through human rights education for existing youth clubs in schools and youth groups in communities. The other approach is by supporting establishment or strengthening of human rights clubs in schools and human rights youth groups in communities. Secondly, we seek resources and partnership with like-minded organizations/agencies to create national, regional and international forums for youths and their leaders to meet in order to share their experiences, design new innovative solutions to address their concerns, and to engage the government and other stakeholders in ensuring development of strategies and policies that advance the best interest and priorities of all the youths.
Thirdly, we challenge the government and other actors to create more opportunities for youth participation by incorporating youths in their organizational structures and systems, by supporting youth initiatives/organizations/projects, and by jointly working together to advance the human rights agenda and best interest of youths.
The major activities of Youth Rights Forum include:
• Facilitating human rights education through public sessions for youths in schools and communities.
