•To connect young people to the realities of the local and global proportions of this epidemic.
•To Reduce HIV infection rates amongst all young people

YEAH is Australia’s first independent not-for profit health promotion organisation promoting HIV & AIDS awareness to the general community with a specific focus on young people.
What is YEAH's Focus?
•Development of resources for educational networks. We utilise film, art, public events and interactive content to engage young people and make sure our information reaches its intended audience.
•Advocacy through public events and media campaigns incorporating the arts.
•Outreach through educational workshops (Primarily targeting school students).
YEAH’s Mission Statement:
To promote public awareness and education about HIV/AIDS by finding creative and entertaining ways to involve the community, with a specific focus on young people, their needs, concerns and ideas.

YEAH’s main focus has been to produce resources for young people in schools and other community youth networks to ensure they have access to information about HIV/AIDS and related issues.
2007 will see YEAH launch the first National student leadership initiative around HIV for students across Australian schools. This like many of the advocacy and outreach projects conducted though YEAH is about having open dialogue with young people and listening to their needs ad concern and empowering them to find innovate ways to respond to them.
Many of YEAH’s volunteers are young people from across the community and it is young people that we encourage to sign up as volunteers and ambassadors to take the YEAH message out to their own communities.
