The mission of the SAID is to provide effective representation for all students who believe in Intercultural Dialogue in the age of globalization.
It is to raise awareness and personal involvement through events of cultural, intercultural, social and artistic nature to explore the realities of our surroundings both at the local, national, and global levels, with the intention of creating a heterogeneous and open-minded body of students who believe in open dialogue, acceptance, and a worldly responsibility.
The SAID welcomes students and staff members of York University from any background, religion and political stance, and is eager to work towards increasing the level of awareness and involvement of York’s students.
The Student Association for Intercultural Dialogue is a non-racist and non-discriminatory association whose main aspiration is that of becoming an interdisciplinary and intercultural organization students recognize as being supportive and inspiring.
