 Missione/Visione
ACT UP was formed in order to diminish racism and exclusion of HIV+ individuals, to combat fear and prejudice towards the infection and to raise awareness of the puplic. We believe that by protecting the rights of HIV+ people, we are in fact protecting human rights, our rights.
Cosa fa la tua organizzazione?
Since 1993, ACT UP has been implementing projects for prevention, protection and combat of HIV infection and STDs, as well as programmes for information and services for migrant population and trafficking victims. Since 2005, is the representative in Greece of the UNAIDS programmes on AIDS.
Opportunità per la Gioventù
ACT UP has a large group of young volunteers from different fields(doctors,social workers,lawyers, educators, etc) working on the projects. Education/training, participation in national/international events, certificates of attendance, are few of the things offered to youth.
