Young people are leaders in conserving Malawi's natural resources and cultural heritage thereby preserving it for prosperity. All activities will bend much towards the National Youth Policy and the attainment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The group aims at promoting and preserving the country's natural heritage and the involvement of young people in local tourism and conserving the environment by employing youth friendly tools. Through fashion shows and public events, Discovery Avenue strives to promote cultural diversity and unity amongst young people who are mostly divided by political, tribal and regional factions.

As a youth focused and youth led initiative, Discovery Avenue's leadership and all structures are dominated by young people. From programme design to it's implementation, there's full participation of youths. The involvement of young people living with HIV has always been crucial. As the country put it's weight in modifying harmful cultural practices that increase the risk of HIV transmission, Discovery encourages the involvement of Youth living with HIV to be part of the process.
