CharityHelp International (CHI) is a young pioneering non-profit based in Annapolis, Maryland. Founded in 2004, CHI assists small grass roots organizations in emerging nations that provide educational, child care, sustainable community development, health, and other charitable services in their local communities. CHI provides local non-profit groups with information and communication technology, internet based financial transaction capability, online database resources and technical expertise so donors worldwide can support their projects.

Our philosophy is to create a better world one project at a time by facilitating the cultivation of long-term relationships between donors and community-based programs. We believe that enabling two-way communication will foster long-term support and most importantly, increase cross-cultural understanding, ultimately creating a more open and civil society. With the rapid expansion of the availability of low-cost internet based communications, our program can be expanded on a scale never before possible. CHI envisions the creation of an on-line community that works with eligible programs to promote sustainable change and development in emerging nations.

Children and youth are the primary beneficiaries of our projects. Our ICT model enables the supporter and child to share their lives and culture through emails, drawings, and photographs.

We are developing a group sponsorship programs where classes of students can sponsor a single child and each child can interact via email. Some of our adult sponsors have created email accounts for family members, children, neices, and nephews.

Our discussions for the future include youth advocacy and support, campus advocacy and support, and teacher/professor involvement. We would like to see entire classrooms interacting via video conferencing and emails. Our capabilities are limited only by our imaginations and funding.
