Volunteers In Action (VIA) organizes volunteer days and social gatherings for its database of members. Members are sent e-mail notifications of volunteer opportunities in their area and e-mail invitations to social gatherings. This process is made simple for volunteers to introduce them to social work in a casual, social manner. Partnerships are made with volunteer agencies and coordinators to organize volunteer days.

Youth interested in doing more are encouraged to apply to become a leader of change. Leaders of Change are committed volunteers who are interested in leading a VIA group in their community. To apply, send your answers to the following questions to volunteersinaction@gmail.com : Why do you want to be a Leader of Change and what do you hope to contribute to V.I.A? Describe one situation where you assumed and maintained a leadership role.
