ACCAR is dedicated to ensuring that we represent a cross-section of regional, provincial and national members, particularly youth, women and men of African descent. We are also dedicated to ensuring that our work is based on inclusiveness and the promotion of different perspectives from: youth, continental Africans, African-Canadians, persons from the Caribbean, African-Canadian francophones, persons with disabilities, persons who are gay and lesbians.
We recognize that race cannot be analyzed in isolation from factors of gender and class.

The African Canadian Coalition Against Racism (ACCAR) is a diverse group of local, regional and national non-government organizations and individuals across Canada who are of African descent. These groups are dedicated to the elimination of anti-Black racism in all its forms.
We aim to mobilize African Canadians to participate in the preparation for - and activities following - the United Nations' World Conference Against Racism, (WCAR), to ensure that anti-Black racism and its impact are addressed and remedied.
