We are students from across Canada concerned frustrated by the lack of international response to the atrocities in Darfur, Sudan, which have left over 200,000 dead and 2 million without homes, and the sluggish pace of political progress in bringing an end to the violence.
As we commemorate 60 years of the lesson of “never again”, the world again sits idle. As Canadian students, we believe it is our responsibility to speak out, and are determined not to let the world remain indifferent as hundreds of thousands of innocents die in ethnically-motivated conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan
