Propagandize and spread the main ideas, principles and values system of Sustainable Human Development Concept, world experience as well as the activities of UN structures in this sphere, to assist in elaboration and putting into practice the Concept and Program of Sustainable Development of Armenia.

The main body of Association was formed when a group of scientists was carrying out the scintific research work "Tranformation of the Human Development Index into the Sustainable Human Development Index" (by means of including the ecological component) and preparing the brochure "Ecological Problems of Armenia from the Viewpoint of Sustainable Development Concept".
Since 1996 - up to now organisation has been published in the press 32 articles, organized 24 radio and TV programs dedicated to the problems of ecology and SD. Also a long list of avtivities is available on its web-site.

Main motivation of Youth Section formation was the growing intention and ability a group of young people demonstrated in assisting the process of Sustainable Development achievement in Armenia. Youth Section is currently actively networking with other Youth NGOs on local, regional and international level, and has an aim to motivate and integrate youth to the process of Sustainable Development achievement, and guaranteeing youth participation in decision making process, including governmental level. There are a number of on-going projects on local level, but the ultimate goal is developing them into regional and international level projects, forming global partnership towards Sustainable Development.
