YSTT works in several areas and with a variety of age groups; emphasis is mainly on young people between ages of 10 – 24 and young adults between ages of 25 – 35. the objectives of the organization are:

a)Contribute to the eradication of communicable diseases (i.e. tuberculosis and cholera) and malaria in Tanzania.

b)Facilitate for the provision of home based care for young people living with the HIV virus.

c)Educate young people on issues pertaining to Reproductive Health

d)Bridge the gap between young people in Tanzania, promote, facilitate for communication between youth groups in Tanzania and maintain a database on the groups.

e)Advocate and lobby for realization of effective Youth Engagement and Participation in relevant institutions.

f)Promote equality and issues pertaining to gender.

g)Affiliate or associate with any organization to be found in any part of the world having similar objectives in whole or in part to those of YouthServe Tanzania Trust such that the affiliation is beneficial to local communities, the state and future generations in general.

h)Address and work towards alleviating or totally controlling situations that render youth susceptible and vulnerable, through evidence based and culturally sensitive programs. Youth based programs shall entail a range of initiatives geared to ensure that youth in most vulnerable conditions make healthy transitions towards adulthood preparing them to fulfill their future roles as well-nourished, educated, responsible and productive adults and parents.
