Condomania, under the Vancouver Coastal Health umbrella, works with youth ages 12 -15 to shape attitudes, values, and behaviours that promote sexual health for a lifelong impact, with an added focus on engaging young men. Condomania equips youth with knowledge, skills, and motivation to shape positive attitudes and avoid unwanted or risky sexual behaviors. Our goal is to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS, STIs, and unintended pregnancies resulting from not using a condom; to develop an awareness and acceptance of one's sexuality, including values, beliefs, and boundaries; to strengthen risk assessment, healthy decision-making, communication, and negotiation; and to support youth leadership in the development of age-appropriate and culturally competent programming.
